Why did you choose to take this project on?

Actually, the first project was a project that I chose to take on.

The way we even came about doing Time was off of Rob's suggestion.

We had been serving about, maybe we were in 15 years of our 60-year sentence at that point.

And after trying all of these different legal measures to regain our freedom, he suggested that we do a documentary so that we could raise money.

national attention about our story.

And so I went in pursuit of that.

Who do you talk with? Where do you take us?

Um, you know, it was all the things, I had just lost my job, um, the brand new house that we had bought, if it was a car, we'd call it a lemon, no pun intended, but it had a cracked foundation, the first rain came in and, and literally took off the roof with some, some damages that we were not, um, not financially prepared to take care of.

And so when you just put that witch's brew together, it can create, um, quite a commotion in one's spirit, and if you lose sight of, um, what is really important in life, 'cause what's really important, we already had, and that was family.

And, um, and so on that doomed day, um, dark day, we traded in what we already had for something that we thought would, would make what we had better.

And, um, and we would spend the next 30 years of our life trying to tell people, one, this is not the road to take.
