it is i wondered the same thing um but as many know i don't read so i will never know this is true any other thoughts foster we haven't heard from you in a while

Foster HarlfingerGUEST
Well, I mean, just responding to some of the things you were saying, obviously I loved the movie, so I didn't have quite the same experience or hang-ups, I suppose.

Foster HarlfingerGUEST
if there is a gleefulness to the violence or to the war, I think it's less coming intrinsically from the characters and more so just coming from the spectacle of, of the fact that it's a movie and it's like, Whoa, look at all this, you know, destruction.

Foster HarlfingerGUEST
Um, but I did feel like from the characters, there was quite a lot of resistance to the idea of, of war or to battle.

Foster HarlfingerGUEST
And, you know, it even takes convincing, you know, uh, a mystical sort of convincing, you know, for them to agree to it.

Foster HarlfingerGUEST
And I do feel that character we've been describing to with his reaction to his weapon.

I also feel like just the spirit of Nope is so in line with horror just in terms of the genre mishmash and the, like, group of outcasts coming together, you know, to, like – for common purpose sort of thing it fits so in line with horror in so many so many ways and there's like a few really now to me iconic scenes that are very horror okay so i saw this movie twice in theaters the first time i saw it in theaters i liked it but i wasn't necessarily it wasn't like the get out kind of reaction where it's like oh my gosh i just watched like you know, cinema being changed before my eyes.

Foster HarlfingerGUEST
I'm not sure I get everything about this movie yet, but I'd like to, you know, like that was my feeling the first time.
