If you don't know the story, you see this in the solicits.

It looks like Alopex is fighting a Foot Clan person, so maybe they're not on the same side.

So yeah, our synopsis.

So Splinter makes a quiet round of visits through Foot Clan HQ, starting with Shredder's Tomb, where Jenica is standing guard.

She asks Splinter why he built a tomb for his family's sworn enemy, and he explains that Oroku Saki was once a clan brother he was proud to call his own.

Shredder's ass.

I feel like half this cast, maybe some of those extras were part of the Foot Clan.

Probably.

I feel like there's a connection there.

They save her, but Raphael drops one of his weapons.

His quest to retrieve it starts a collision course between the Turtles, April, and the Foot Clan, evil ninja thieves who are responsible for a crime wave sweeping the city, a crime wave that April's been investigating a little too closely.

The Foot find and attack the home of the Turtles, kidnapping Splinter and bringing him face to face with their leader.

the ruthless shredder whose splinter begins to suspect might be a ghost from his own past.

The turtles, meanwhile, face defeat at the hands of the foot and retreat to upstate New York with April and street vigilante Casey Jones to nurse their wounds and train to retake their city and save their father.

They're fine.

But, like, it's funny.

I didn't obviously know that the Foot Clan was supposed to be a parody of The Hand from Daredevil.

It was pretty weird.

But anyway, later on in issue four, the Turtles are fighting the Foot Clan as they do when, quite by coincidence, they stumble on the TCRI labs.

They recognize the logo from the canister that created them.

They break into the lab.
