So Fleur, I know we've- we've only got sort of 30 minutes, but I- I'd love to just understand what your backstory is and how you've become who you are today and who you're continually becoming.
2:03
Yeah.
2:04
So, uh, my backstory is that since I was a little girl, I, um, I always had quite big ambitions.
2:12
And my mom had taught me that you could have it all, do it all, be it all.
2:15
So I never really felt limited at all in life.
2:21
And so I went for everything that I wanted.
2:23
So very young in my career, I was, you know, at the senior tables, um, achieving what I defined as the definition of success.

25 MINS LATER

27:11
That's, that's the other thing, the impact, the cascades, right? Yeah.
ScottHOST
27:26
... explain to us what the concept is.
27:28
So it's, it's, um...
27:29
And I'm sure my friend is at Cloud Hidden, me sharing this, Sam, uh, and Josh.
27:34
Uh, the...
27:35
So because I live in a beautiful place called Byron Bay now, which is the wellbeing mecca, we have access to incredible experiences because here people, um, you know, work to live rather than live to work.
27:46
[laughs] So that's why I put myself here.
27:49
And one of the best things that's changed me is something called the Way of Tea.

8 MINS LATER

35:57
Oh, wow.
6:20
Mm
6:20
... and what happened was I was actually running a marathon in Bordeaux, in [laughs] France, in fancy dress, drinking wine, as you do for any good marathon, where you're running and drinking wine in fancy dress, 52 vineyards, and it was about the 22K mark that I started to cough blood, and at the time I thought it was red wine.
6:41
Uh, uh, and when I finished the race, I couldn't quite bounce back, and it was, you know, it was leading up to Christmas, so I thought, "Well, I'll just push through, get what I need done, and I'll take my rest over the Christmas break, and then I'll, I'll get back on track." You know, and I had too much pressure and demand on me to really, uh, stop and collect what was going on.
7:01
And so I kept going and got to Christmas, was really tired all over Christmas, couldn't quite bounce back.
7:08
Then of course the new year comes around, I've gotta keep showing up.
7:12
Couldn't work out what was wrong with me.
7:13
Australia Day came and an nextdoor neighbor said, "I think you need to see a doctor." Like, I don't think...

7 MINS LATER

14:15
Yeah
5:08
Mm.
5:08
And so there's a practice, and it's like a gym membership in Byron, where you sign up and you can go for multiple sits of tea, and it's on a tatami mat.
5:17
It's with a tea master.
5:18
You do five rounds of tea.
5:19
There's beautiful music that plays over that hour, and you sit with, you know, between six to 18 people in a room.
5:26
No one speaks to each other.
5:27
I've sat for all the- with all these people for years now.

16 MINS LATER

21:43
[laughs]
