You know, to go back to Fiona's point around the opportunity, I think that's where there's real potential to, to think about more transformational change and more thinking about what we need to break this s- cycle we're in at the moment of a lot of short-termism, a lot of crisis intervention, and really think big picture about what we would might want to see.

Yeah, I think funding reform is just absolutely critical to that.

If I had any criticism of where we are at the moment is it feels like we've had a big announcement, quite politically driven deadline to, um, provide a route in before Christmas, and at the moment, a lot of the funding is very short term because of that short-term focus.

Members telling us that, um, you know, it's taking a while for the funding to get down from Whitehall to their local authorities to services.

Very short-term contracts being given to them to provide provision just to the end of the financial year.

You can't possibly move to a Housing First philosophy unless you make a major shift in the way that you fund homelessness services.

There's got to be that long-term commitment, particularly to support.

So what opportunities does this new political landscape create for organizations working with people experiencing homelessness? And ultimately, how could these changes improve outcomes for people experiencing homelessness?
