At what point during that innings did you really realize this was going to be a special outing?

Oh, to be honest, it was one of those days where you almost black out whilst it's all happening and you don't quite realize what's going on until, you know, a few days later.

I guess I knew it was a pretty good wicket.

So my sole focus was, you know, try and score as many as I could as quick as possible.

And then, you know, once I got past 100, Um, probably the only time I thought about my scores when I thought, you know, could maybe try and push to get 200, um, which is pretty greedy.

But, um, yeah, as I said, you know, betting with, I can't remember who I was betting with.

I think I was with Jake Fraser McGurk at the time.

But how do you kind of mentally reset after a couple of, I'll say, outings where you probably didn't score as much as you would have thought going into the match?

And what we're talking about here is like if you stick into your process, sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit, right? But I'm interested in like what the legends of the game – let's just pertain that to New Zealand so like Martin Guptill and I suppose Brendan McCullum as well would probably be like the you know top of the class NZ like power hitting bulk runs as well especially gup so like have these guys spent much time with you like looking at your numbers and stuff that you're putting up and being like I can mold this guy yet they themselves haven't quite like gone through the same like quantity of t20 cricket do you know what I mean

Yeah, I think, well, I obviously started my international career with Gutt at the top and playing with him, and I learned a lot off him.

And I guess, yeah, it would be interesting to pick his brains about it, how the game has changed from when it started.

Obviously, he was around and then...

He's sort of...

He's still playing for Auckland now, but he gets into a bit of coaching and stuff, and I guess, yeah, you're right.

It's like it has changed the sheer amount of T20 play.

I mean, how do you navigate that?
