Robin, in this early hour, what do we see when we see you?

Robin always wakes before dawn.

This morning, she's not in any particular hurry.

She watches the sunrise from her window with a cup of tea She has a routine that's fairly simple, quickly gets dressed, mostly secondhand clothing, a dark gray jacket that she wears most of the time.

It has some patchwork repairs, a little bit more color, but most of the color that she wears is a scarf that she wraps around her neck.

Somebody made it for her a long time ago.

Just as the sun is starting to come up, Desdemona, the plain little lilac gray, Pigeon, and really her best friend, nestles up into her scarf on her shoulder as she grabs a little tote that she keeps by the door with some simple gardening tools and a little linen bag that she uses to take to mom and grandma.

make it clean for her.

The windows of the little acorn are lit, the dining room is definitely not filled but certainly not empty.

After waking up from my nap, I did another quick lap of the garden.

Found some new potatoes and carrots.

Pretty small, but enough to flesh out the stew that I'd been working on.

A little bit more herbs.

And I had some bread left from yesterday.

I probably should have grabbed more while I was out, but I didn't know we'd have more guests.

Robin, when we turn your card and see you, if only for the first time, what do we see?

I begin my morning routine in my room.

I chose the smaller of the rooms because I love the huge window in here.

I always let the morning, uh, sunrise come through while I'm preparing my morning tea.

Even though I try my best not to, I can't help but monitor the bottom of my teacup for any omens that look particularly ominous.

But quickly get dressed, typically wearing whatever thrifted thing I've found or kept.

Dark grays, usually a long gray suede coat that I wear in the morning.

You can tell that out of this whole motel that she enjoys keeping this corner.
