So in the landscape where donors are inundated with appeals, Farah, how does a highly-defined brand voice help a nonprofit cut through that noise? How do you balance urgent fundraising needs with maintaining a brand voice that doesn't feel overly transactional or desperate?

Farra TrompeterGUEST
Well, so again, I want to go back to what I was mentioning just a moment ago is that that clarity of the brand should cut through or come through when you're doing a campaign like Giving Tuesday or year-end.

As we look into the big picture, how should nonprofits actually measure the ROI of their brand messaging over time? What key metrics, whether it's donor retention, average gift size, or organic growth, should they be watching to know if their brand is doing its job?

I think beyond, you know, giving level and financial background, right, and then the next thing that you started getting into was demographics.

Farra TrompeterGUEST
I would say what we're seeing is really important is to go beyond both of those and to think about psychographics.

Farra TrompeterGUEST
You know, a person who's raising a family, who is really interested and passionate about things they can do to make sure their child has success and upward mobility, and they're really interested in stories and communication about people like them who've been able to, you know, accomplish upward mobility and generational wealth.

Farra TrompeterGUEST
So what we have found is that when you can really better understand what motivates people, what values they hold as it connects to your organization, and then tap into that in your communications, in your channels, in your content, then you actually will get better results.

Farra TrompeterGUEST
So to understand that, a lot of what we do is employ primary research, interviews, surveying, looking at maybe other organizations that we know your donors support to get a sense of, like, how they're communicating and what's coming through in their content, right? Because if a donor supports my organization, they probably might support a few other groups like mine.

We have a website, but I don't know if it's been successful." What are some actionable takeaways that you would want them to take away from this episode?
