I think we can

borrow a lot from engineering ethics here.

So engineers, like how I understand engineering is basically make a mistake once.

The whole discipline I think is predicated on that idea.

And that's why you have standards develop in engineering, right? Because you make a mistake once and then it becomes a standard.

And then that standard gets iterated and gets tested.

And engineering as a field is really successful because it can do that.

It's an acknowledgement, not a creation of those responsibilities.
