Do you, would you like to just kind of go through this, uh, piece by piece, um, or, or section by section and kind of, uh, summarize and gloss and just look at, uh, you know, some of the broader strokes findings or, or do you have, like, a preferred approach to sort of teasing what, what people will read?

Eyes Wide OpenGUEST
I mean, I, I guess I could just sorta start off by talking about w- how I got to this piece and how, how this came about.

Eyes Wide OpenGUEST
I, um, I mean, when the, all the, the sort of Epstein files released, uh, I believe it was in January of this year, I, I got caught up into that for weeks just reading emails and, and, and noting down interesting passages and starting to map out all the characters or all the central players in this, uh, this sort of perverse and, and sickening web.

Eyes Wide OpenGUEST
Um, and my, my main approach was that I wanted to find out, and this, this is still something I'm still thinking about a lot and that I still haven't really come up with a convincing answer.

Eyes Wide OpenGUEST
Um, I wanted to find out what was Jeffrey Epstein's overriding true, true ideological thoughts or true, uh, beliefs about the, the way the world works or about, about morality and about, you know, the- these big questions 'cause I, I, I find, I've always found reading Jeffrey Epstein's emails that he, um, he himself is a bit of a black box.

Eyes Wide OpenGUEST
He doesn't really let his, um, or at least I don't feel like he ever did let his genuine or his sincere thoughts about things kind of show through.

And I think a lot of that has to do with not just their intense feudalism, but their ultra nationalism and this this deep sense of obsession with purity.

Eyes Wide OpenGUEST
That's always, you know, that's important there, the purity point, right? That's always kind of the focus of all these movements is to purify the nation, to get rid of the corrosive elements that are surrounding the emperor or surrounding the shogun, right? Like even back to the Meiji Restoration, that's the reason that they elevated Emperor Meiji was to cleanse the nation of the corrosive shogunal influence.

Eyes Wide OpenGUEST
As for the fascist period in Japan, I'm going to talk about this actually in the finale, which I'm editing right now, which is two and a half hours.

So how does that make it different than Western fascism? Because it always seems to me like the way that at least these modern Christian nationalist fascists, they're always saying that the fatherhead is God in the household.
