So I started as a research assistant part-time with Helen before I started my PhD on an NHS project, which is investigating how platinum-based chemotherapy affects hearing function in chemotherapy patients.

So that's obviously a big physiological insult on the brain and specifically on the auditory system.

But then kind of my main interest is the concussion stuff.

So looking at how repetitive head injuries in sport can affect auditory function.

So I think the biggest kind of change from my previous concussion work, which is more biomechanical or kind of, we did a project looking at like the attitudes and behaviors towards concussion, moving away from that to more auditory focused and like delving really into the brain, which is something that I'd never really done before.
