Uh, in this election, where it's a challenging political environment, uh, are you expecting to win Miami-Dade County, keep it close, or make up losses there elsewhere in the state?
7:42
So I think it's lost on a lot of people that we have now a Republican voter registration advantage in Miami-Dade County.
7:47
We've won at the last two elections.
7:49
We want to be competitive there, and we think we're gonna win there.
7:52
And when you have someone like Angie Nixon on the ticket, who is a self-described socialist, is we have people here in Florida who have fled the failed policies in Venezuela and Cuba.
8:03
And when th- and they live in Miami and the greater Florida area, they're gonna reject that kind of radical socialism.
8:09
And so we expect to win, and we're gonna win here in Florida big this election cycle.
8:19
What are the features of David Jolly's, uh, uh, policy profile that you think voters will find most concerning?
48:29
What's your advice to candidates in Florida and around the country about how to really activate that rural vote in the way President Trump is able to when he's on the ballot, but where we've sometimes suffered when he isn't?
48:43
Well, I think we have to share the pain.
48:44
Gas prices, because of this war, are elevated.
48:48
But that is a temporary solution.
48:49
This president has taken the risk of going to war with Iran and dealing with the regime that's been there for 47 years.
48:56
So there's some temporary problems.
48:58
But when you look, the president has delivered on no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security.
52:08
Do we expect the operational tempo of Governor DeSantis on the campaign trail to increase?
1:26
What is your feel on what's happening over the next few weeks and what we're going to see over the next couple of weeks and months? before this election in November.
1:35
Well, you know, these transition elections every eight years are always hard because you have personalities like Governor DeSantis.
1:40
For him, Rick Scott was a larger-than-life personality, and you have to replace that person.
1:44
So those are tough elections, places where Republicans have dropped a seat from time to time.
1:48
You remember Matt Caldwell and the Ag Commissioner race, and Alex Sink became CFO.
1:52
So you worry about that.
1:54
But what we're doing is turning out every voter.

16 MINS LATER

17:49
Why do you think Florida's getting that kind of recognition and focus where we're seeing our people pulled out of office in the middle of their term and serving higher, bigger positions?
2:19
What the heck is going on?
2:21
So we have the primaries this week, and we have our nominees.
2:24
Byron Donaldson is going to be a tremendous top of the ticket, along with Senator Ashley Moody.
2:28
But, you know, we have a Democrat socialist in Angie Nixon who won the Senate primary, so that makes it a little easier.
2:35
And, you know, we have a 1.5 million voter advantage here in Florida, so we feel confident going into November.
2:41
But we're going to work hard, and we're going to make sure that we continue to build that lead because – I think, you know, the reason why many of our friends from up north have come down is they love the conservative government and we're continuing to grow it.
3:46
So you feel that common sense will prevail in Florida in, what is it, seven weeks, eight weeks?
3:54
Yeah, 70 something days.
1:54
What the heck is going on?
1:57
So we had the primaries this week, and our, we have our nominees.
2:00
Byron Donalds is gonna be a tremendous top of the ticket, along with Senator Ashley Moody.
2:04
But, you know, we have a Democrat socialist in Angie Nixon, who won the Senate primary, so that makes it a little easier.
2:11
And, you know, we have a 1.5 million voter advantage here in Florida, so we feel confident going into November, but we're gonna work hard, and we're gonna make sure that we continue to build that lead, um, because I think, you know, reason why many of our friends from, from up North have come down is they love the conservative government, and we're continuing to grow it.
3:22
So you f- you feel that, uh, common sense will prevail in Florida in, what is it, seven weeks, eight weeks?
3:30
Yeah, 70-something days.
3:31
Um, but yes, I think common sense will prevail.
2:15
What the heck is going on?
2:17
So we have the primaries this week, and we have our nominees.
2:20
Byron Donaldson is going to be a tremendous top of the ticket, along with Senator Ashley Moody.
2:24
But, you know, we have a Democrat socialist in Angie Nixon who won the Senate primary, so that makes it a little easier.
2:31
And, you know, we have a 1.5 million voter advantage here in Florida, so we feel confident going into November.
2:37
But we're going to work hard, and we're going to make sure that we continue to build that lead because – I think, you know, reason why many of our friends from from up north have come down is they love the conservative government and we're continuing to grow it.
3:42
So you feel that common sense will prevail in Florida in, what is it, seven weeks, eight weeks?
3:50
Yeah, 70 something days.
51:48
What the heck is going on?
51:50
So we have the primaries this week, and we have our nominees.
51:53
Byron Donaldson is going to be a tremendous top of the ticket, along with Senator Ashley Moody.
51:57
But, you know, we have a Democrat socialist in Angie Nixon who won the Senate primary, so that makes it a little easier.
52:04
And, you know, we have a 1.5 million voter advantage here in Florida, so we feel confident going into November.
52:10
But we're going to work hard, and we're going to make sure that we continue to build that lead because – I think, you know, the reason why many of our friends from up north have come down is they love the conservative government and we're continuing to grow it.
53:15
So you feel that common sense will prevail in Florida in, what is it, seven weeks, eight weeks?
53:23
Yeah, 70 something days.
50:49
What's going on with Florida?
50:51
Well, you know, you do not think of DSA and communism, socialism when you think of Florida.
50:55
It's more generally the people that ran away from that from Venezuela and Cuba who found a home here.
51:01
But they're running some primaries, and Oliver Larkin is running in our Congressional District 25, which is a seat that we're looking to flip.
51:08
And Jared Moskowitz is there right now who's a Democrat.
51:12
He is by no means what you would call a moderate Democrat.
51:15
So when you're looking at this, if he wins, if Oliver Larkin wins, that's a seat we're 100% going to flip because Florida is not going to be open for communism or socialism.
52:25
It looks like he's doing really well in the polls, right? What are the other big races real quick to look at tomorrow?
1:41
What's going on with Florida?
1:43
Well, you know, you do not think of DSA and communism, socialism when you think of Florida.
1:48
It's more generally the people that ran away from that from Venezuela and Cuba who found a home here.
1:53
But they're running some primaries and in, and Oliver Larkin is running in our Congressional District 25, which is a seat that we're looking to flip.
2:01
And Jared Moskowitz is there right now, who's a Democrat.
2:04
He is by no means what you would call a moderate Democrat.
2:08
So when you're looking at this, if, if he wins, if Oliver Larkin wins, that's a seat we're 100% gonna flip because Florida's not gonna be open for communism or socialism.
3:17
It looks like he's doing really well in the polls, right? What are the other big races real quick to look at tomorrow?
2:19
What's going on with Florida?
2:21
Well, you know, you do not think of DSA and communism, socialism when you think of Florida.
2:26
It's more generally the people that ran away from that from Venezuela and Cuba who found a home here.
2:31
But they're running some primaries and Oliver Larkin is running in our congressional district 25, which is a seat that we're looking to flip.
2:39
And Jared Moskowitz is there right now is a Democrat.
2:42
He is by no means what you would call a moderate Democrat.
2:45
So when you're looking at this, if he wins, if Oliver Larkin wins, that's a seat we're 100% going to flip because Florida is not going to be open for communism or socialism.
3:55
It looks like he's doing really well in the polls, right? What are the other big races real quick to look at tomorrow?
51:31
What's going on with Florida?
51:33
Well, you know, you do not think of DSA and communism, socialism when you think of Florida.
51:38
It's more generally the people that ran away from that from Venezuela and Cuba who found a home here.
51:43
But they're running some primaries, and Oliver Larkin is running in our Congressional District 25, which is a seat that we're looking to flip.
51:51
And Jared Moskowitz is there right now.
51:53
He's a Democrat.
51:54
He is by no means what you would call a moderate Democrat.
53:07
It looks like he's doing really well in the polls, right? What are the other big races real quick to look at tomorrow?
48:17
What are you hearing from voters there a- a- about the message they wanna send with their congressman?
48:23
They want someone who will defend President Trump, will fight for him every day in DC.
48:28
You, you...
48:28
There's some people who wanna back away from the president.
48:31
We're not seeing that in the Congressional District 2.
48:34
You represented CD 1, which is s- just in line with the Panhandle people who agree with us, that President Trump needs to have people who are willing to fight for him.
48:44
We're positioned well, that I've delivered for him time and time again.
49:23
Uh, what are particular concerns that are coming out of rural Florida and rural America that you think the broader Congress needs to focus on?
40:33
Talk a little bit about what you think the big question is that voters are going to be answering in your upcoming primary in August.
40:40
Yeah, I think affordability is the issue that we hear across the panhandle and going touring small counties and big counties.
40:46
You hear that, that people feel that they're not getting the right chance to go to the grocery store and prices are still high from the Joe Biden economy.
40:53
You look at insurance rates and they're high.
40:55
Housing costs are high.
40:57
If you look at what we've done here in Florida, we're starting to bring those costs down on the insurance front.
41:01
So I hope as the economy continues to improve, we're able to tell that story of what Floridians, what Floridians, Republicans have done for Floridians as we've moved ahead and why tax cuts and the big, beautiful bill have helped secure the future for Florida and why Floridians need to send people to support President Trump back in Washington, D.C.
41:30
Are you telling voters in your election that the cessation of these hostilities in Iran will translate to lower fuel prices and lower grocery prices?
29:18
Evan, your response.
29:21
Well, the Supreme Court case that was decided yesterday says we don't have to draw for those racial considerations.
29:27
That eliminates that constitutional amendment that we have in place.
29:30
So what this map does is takes a...
29:32
Earlier last year, we took out a district in North Florida that was drawn for those racial considerations.
29:38
Our Supreme Court upheld that.
29:40
Now we're going to the rest of the state and cleaning up those districts, drawing fair districts.
31:22
Any fear that you're creating a dummy-mander scenario in Florida?
