And, um, so I figured there's so many, like, Halloween, like- Um, like witchy, spooky, everything with a wink and kind of cute.

And I was like, what if w- what if we do like a fantasy, more serious? Mm-hmm.

Like, not horror, you know? Right.

But like something fantasy, and there was so much talk about romantic-y books and stuff, and I've- Mm ...

And, um, before we, uh, hop off of here though, do you have a tip or a piece of advice that you'd like to leave with our listeners today?

environment it's hard to create when you're stressed so um i did that and you know i was here on a visa so i was i was limited in what i could work i had one year where i could work um which i worked for buzzfeed as a content creator i made these um really fast cooking videos you know the top down tasty cooking videos yeah and learned content and like a very different side of filmmaking instead of narrative.

I worked as an editor.

I worked as a subtitle translator because I happened to speak German.

So I hustled for a while in LA.

I wrote spec scripts, which is basically you write a bunch of scripts and pitch them and you get notes from peers or from the people you pitch to and then you rewrite them.

You never get paid for any of it.

So tell us about the two quilts.

Well, not that we ever know how things go viral, but, you know.

Right.

It was about my latest pattern, the one, um, you see my, in the background.

So I had launched Deco Diamonds shortly before QuiltCon, and we all know that a week or two before QuiltCon, Instagram's just taken over by QuiltCon content.

So it didn't, it didn't have as good as a launch as I was hoping it would.

Um, and then after QuiltCon, I had a gnarly sinus infection for, like, two or three weeks, so I had no content from that month to share.

I was like, "I'm running out of content.

Mm.
