Mm-hmm.

Um, yeah.

And I mean, you know, you, you said like, you're not saying Sondra's is Lutheran, but, um, you know, I'd say that the, uh, within speaking very broadly and very not with nuance within the great streams of kind of church history, um, the closest tradition to the Lutheran one is the Anglican, maybe, the Episcopalian, as it's manifested in America.

And I say that just to borrow their phrase, which is that Episcopalians and Anglicans historically often describe themselves as the middle way.

That they avoid the excesses and the hierarchy of roman catholicism but they also avoid kind of the the um uh extremes and and you know potential for violence and other and even of the potential for gnosticism of like what theologians would call low church protestantism um right and What St. Paul would call zeal without knowledge.

Exactly.

And so anytime, especially within sort of a European Christian context, anytime you're trying to chart some sort of middle ground or synthesis, you may end up sounding at least a little bit Lutheran, not because you're like a... german lutheran from xyz place or time but because that's where a lot of these ideas kind of end up living um and i think that that has been both the uh um the thing that kind of keeps that middle way alive is also the thing that makes it the most vulnerable to criticism um like you uh you mentioned luther talking about suffering uh kind of showing showing the face of god that that concept and i think that concept i personally think that that concept can be very beautiful and that it's been it's it's probably helped a lot of of people you know over the centuries um it also gets accused of, uh, trying to make people complacent within their suffering.
