Ernest Saves Christmas

He's hilarious and such just a good, humble guy.

Yeah, and I mean, hey, Apopka was already put on the map a while ago, okay? If you remember, Ernest Saves Christmas that was filmed back in 1988.

Before my time.

My favorite Christmas movie.

Oh, there you go.

I put on Ernest Saves Christmas.

Oh, wow.

And then a recent addition is David Harbour's Violent Night, where he is an ass-kicking Santa.

Me too.

So they just kind of took some of these characters, these original characters, like also very much the the snake handler in Ernest Saves Christmas.

He

was a character called Lloyd World, this meanest man in the world character.

talked in Saves Christmas when they go, M, V, M, V, or whatever, when they're debating.

People that don't know, this is out of context.

In Ernest Saves Christmas, there's a scene where they're debating the helper elves.

And they're saying, is it helper elms or helper elves? And so Bobby's like, V.

And that was Bill's first time watching that 1956 classic.

He and I also recorded Ernest Saves Christmas, which will be coming out November 11th, the anniversary of when it came out originally.

And then him and I are going to be recording in the near future, Night of the Comet, which will come out probably in December or, at worst, January, depending on how many other episodes I have recorded.

I got eight or ten episodes in the back catalog.

them were so...

Ernest Saves Christmas?

Parts of Ernest Goes to Africa was okay.

I saw all those in the theater, by the way.

Okay.

And the second one of these was Ernest Saves Christmas, which we already decided we have to watch this for Christmas.

You have to see, that was peak Ernest right there.

And what's really crazy is that one was so successful, they increased the deal to six movies, Ernest Scared Stupid was No. 4, and it bombed so bad that they canceled the rest of the deal.

It does feel like, yeah, it didn't give the same Ernest energy that I remember.

Maybe that's just my memory.

We'll have to wait until we see Ernest Saves Christmas.

What's the timeline on those? Which ones came out?

And listen, beloved stuff.

You know, the all-new Mickey Mouse Club, Adventures in Wonderland, you know, Ernest Saves Christmas, the Golden Girls.

Like, all of this stuff really did use the lot for production, but it was more for the benefit of the park guests.

So, it's a really interesting thing.
