What was your time like?
5:36
Yeah, so I was approaching it as more smiles and miles.
5:41
My A race was actually in April for the Cross Try.
5:44
USAT has Cross Try, which is an off-road triathlon.
5:47
And so I did the national championship there, and I actually won my division.
5:51
So I'm a national champion in something.
5:53
Yeah, so that was like... that was the goal race so i could be on team usa and then compete in edmonton next year which check check check so milwaukee was more just about redemption from my race five years ago and then just to support a couple athletes that i coached and also just have fun because milwaukee is a really cool town i don't know if you've ever been but the architecture it there's tons of buildings downtown that all were like date stamped with like 1880 1890 It's super friendly for whatever kind of person you are.

Like in a sport where you aren't necessarily supposed to have a lot of outside assistance, but you're allowed this assistance at certain points, a volunteer can make a big impact in someone's race.
20:53
Yeah, I think especially for T2 because people come in in all kinds of shapes.
20:59
And I think it really helps to have someone who's experienced also.
21:02
I mean, what I found, especially Kona, this is crazy.
21:06
So Kona volunteers are more locals, which is great, right? They have a very strong local presence.
21:11
People are really excited to volunteer.
21:13
But I walked into the Kona change tent.
