I think that when he thinks that I went quietly into the night and just was like, yeah, I'm going to do this, that couldn't be any further from the truth.

I think for me, being in a high conflict divorce, which I would say that the vast majority of high conflict divorces are actually coercive control or domestic violence.

That there's one person who is seeking control over the other person and pulling the strings.

So I say that because I think even though I utilize the terminology high conflict, it's because it's what the family court system calls conflict.

But I attribute so much of who I am today and how much of a better person I am how much space I can hold and how many different perspectives I can see because I did that work and continue to do the work of being someone who wants to be radically accountable.
