[laughs] I just foolishly signed up on Sunday.

[laughs] Um, I ha- I'm not a procrastinator by background, like, at all.

And, um, it just kind of happened that I've just kind of not been doing much of anything, um, besides weightlifting.

And, um, I've joined both Bruce and one of my other friends, Sherry, for some of their long runs.

Um- Kind of foolishly, uh, because I haven't been running much through the week.

I've got some, um, major family problems going on unfortunately, and so my time's been quite strapped.

[laughs]

i i love the book i i gave it four stars on goodreads um i love that the stories were short i love that they were more or less action-packed um and a variety of them so it wasn't just all about um you know, running or endurance sports.

There was other things mixed in there.

I guess I'll share real quick, like my favorite story out of there was the worst final exam ever.

I think my jaw just hit the floor and my heart was pounding.

And I was like, I can't even believe that this actually happened to someone and that they lived to tell the story about it.

Just like things that I would never think would happen in my life to read it about somebody else that I know was just.

There might be some things in the past that end up in the new book that I hadn't considered to date.

[chuckles]

Well, I can tell you, so I'm the one who suggested the book, um, and I suggested it because I personally met Marie, um, while I was doing my first full marathon in Columbus in 2015.

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do.

Was very novice in running still.

I think I'd only s- uh, had ran like two years.

So I just kind of jumped into her pace group.

It was five hours.

Um, I gave, so I'm on Goodreads, uh, and I gave the book three stars, which is like middle of the road.

Um, and my reasoning behind it was I felt like, so I listened to the audio book version of it.

So maybe that has something to do with it too.

Um, so it is the author who narrates the book and I just felt like she was, um, No, I was angry or upset at her and at Nike throughout the entire book.

Well, look what, I do wonder why would someone stay with an abusive coach like Salazar or even the high school coach, Mitchell?
