So first off, are you surprised by any of the information you saw?

Sadly, no, because you see them on the street every day.

If you're like me, you pace them and try to figure out how fast they're going.

And it doesn't matter the age.

A lot of these scooters are traveling 25, 30 miles an hour.

And while we have a helmet ordinance now throughout Clark County, It's only for people under 18.

So you see people in shorts and a T-shirt with no protection for their skin, with no helmet on their head.

Is there a way to make the existing infrastructure that we already have safer for these riders?

So what, what is happening on the Las Vegas streets right now, uh, that is making people like Sheriff Kevin McMahill push so hard for this one solution, these, these traffic cameras being allowed?

Well, I think it is a just one solution of a toolbox of many solutions, but it's the one who takes the least time right now.

And if we could answer the what's happening on Southern Nevada roads right now, we would have an opportunity to fix it.

But the problem is that there are a multitude of things happening.

More impaired drivingFar and away more speed happening on our streets.

So when our-- well, when everywhere locked down for COVID, um, there were fewer people on the road.

The expectation would be that there would be fewer fatalities.

So assuming that red light cameras and other remotely operated cameras don't make it through the legislature, what is the big push that we should be hearing from our police and from entities like yours to curb bad behavior in real time?
