So I would actually say that possibly cake is my favorite food, but pancakes are the more socially acceptable thing to eat more often.

And I think a large part of pancakes specifically is the nostalgia of it all.

My dad would always make like either pancakes from a mix, usually crusties or crepes growing up.

And so like every Sunday it would usually be some iteration of those and I I think I'm pretty sure we grew up on like real maple syrup from Costco.

So I think I'm like a big syrup person and I just like love dousing a pancake in syrup.
