How much of a whirlwind was it getting traded mid-season? Was it a shock to you? Did you have any idea that it was coming? And if so, did you have any idea that the Red Sox could be a destination?

Yeah, I definitely didn't really think it was a possibility.

About, I would say, seven to ten days before the deadline, I talked to my agent and he had said he had had some conversation with the Giants and there really wasn't much of an indication that that would be a possibility.

It didn't really seem like they were thinking about that but I think that's something like even when that's said to you you always know like you never know what's going to happen and obviously something like in this scenario a team gets maybe offered a guy they really like and all of a sudden they ask for you and then you're gone but yeah it wasn't something I was expecting at all considering you know what had been said and then it was I mean it didn't happen until almost like 30 minutes before the actual deadline and I was kind of just getting ready to play catch in the weight room in Texas and I saw it flash up on the screen And yeah, that was kind of it.

And obviously no one, nobody really tells you a lot of time beforehand because they're so busy with stuff.

So they don't really even have time to like tell you that it's kind of just like after the fact they tell you.

So it was weird for sure, but yeah, it was, it was pretty hectic, but you know, it's all part of the process.
