How have you wrestled with that?

You know, for me, it's just about showing up, you know, keep showing up, you know, and discouragement is just a setback, but trying to move forward and try to just overcome That adversity, I think, is the key thing.

Just keep showing up and showing that you're there and you want what's best for the community and it's a privilege to serve.

It's humbling and not necessarily get reactive and try to make some kind of a point about it.

Sometimes you just got to take those and move forward.

I, you know, I, so I always call it just keep showing up, you know, I'm here and, and, uh, you know, take, take the opportunity to also, you know, get involved in, in the different association, you know, city managers association.

And then that's why I'm so uh you know just really pleased with the progress that we've been making in oregon to establish a group of city managers who are promoting um you know ex-military military people to be in local government whether it's city management you know police you know public works just uh doing what we can to promote the opportunities that are there and hopefully getting those folks that are looking for what I think are great jobs, service type jobs, always has great benefits and all those practical things, but also an opportunity to serve and be a part of your community in whatever aspect that you choose.

Will you speak to that? Speak to the importance of how do you do it? How do you build a team? How do you entrust the team when all of a sudden you are also the person who can kind of be the punching bag if the answers aren't right?

I've never heard it described that way, but that's incredible.
