And

then I had trouble taking my – I couldn't afford to take my son to Disney World.

I had to ask my dad.

And I was like, I'm working really hard, 40, 50 hours a week, you know, driving a police car, seeing bad things, and I can't afford to take my son to Disney World.

So I got my real estate license as a hobby.

I literally was working day shift, would go to real estate school at 5 o'clock because we had take-home police cars in my police car.

I'd take the top part off so I wasn't sitting there in my uniform, but I was in my black pants and my black T-shirt for 13 weeks at real estate school.

It doesn't matter what

I'm ready to retire.

But yeah, so I started to volunteer with the community and got onto a few county boards and really started to dive into that whole housing crisis.

And for me, what's personal to me is the veterans and looking at that and found out that the problem here, I mean, there is a problem, but when it came to the veteran housing, we were talking about maybe two dozen veterans.

I'm like, well, hell, I can't fix this nationwide, but I could fix this here maybe.

Yeah.

And so we've started making progress toward that.

We've started with some rehabs where we were able to keep people in their houses.

I'm sure there's some insulting soundbite I could play here.

So we can find the dirt and build your dream home if we can't find the dream home for you.

I love it.

So, but we'll talk a little bit more about the homes he's building.
