So my origin story is a bit different than a lot of people's.

I was born and raised in Vermont, and I actually spent most of my early childhood and teen years as classical clarinetist, and I actually started my undergrad as a classical clarinetist major.

And ultimately, that did not work out for me, as you can probably tell.

And so I transferred back to the University of Vermont and ended up taking a con law course with-- a constitutional law course with a professor who I really loved, and he got me super interested in it and realized, oh, maybe the law actually is kind of an interesting topic that I would be interested in pursuing further.
