wasIf anybody was in theater in the area that we were in, like basically we, we mostly operated just in Canada's area of operations, but any troops that came into contact could call us up if we were flying in the area, whether we would be on Chinook escort or just as a two-ship of Griffins flying around, and they would call us to support the firefight.

Most of the time we would show up and the firefight would be done because the enemy were scared of us because of the gun.

The gun really was effective.

The friendlies were very good at handling their own firefights a lot of the time, you know, but I don't know any Griffin crew that was out there for very long in a firefight.
