Is it Jeremiah love, which is recent buzz that we'll get into, or is the most likely trade, uh, outcome here out of this pick what do you think
7:36
i think jeremiah love is the best player uh maybe the best player in this draft i think for a lot of teams him or or caleb downs are viewed as the best like football player helps us tomorrow um i think david bailey again some of the jets pick at two is like this guy is i mean that worst version of david bailey he's one of the best third edge rushers in the in the nfl right like he could be a plug and play 20 snap a game guy be great probably a lot higher ceiling than that for david bailey But I just look at the Cardinals, and if I'm in their shoes, my right tackle spot is really open right now.
8:08
And another team that I think has some talent, they feel like they probably have some pressure to win early, at least from the front office standpoint, of saying, hey, we can't rebuild again into next year.
8:17
And maybe next year is already going to be our quarterback year, if not Ty Simpson right now.
8:20
Maybe Ty Simpson's the guy later on.
8:22
I think they're always looking for the future.
8:25
I lean towards Mau and Noah, which was the obvious pick earlier.

17 MINS LATER

25:49
Do you have any thoughts? on your conversations that started with these NFL teams from October to November to the Friday before the NFL draft and Jordan Tyson running 20 routes of where this story arc has gone for him and where he might land on this
14:18
Where should we rank him on their big board?
14:20
I, I think it's realistic.
14:21
A- again, it's crazy that we're already at two or three and I feel more calm about picks at seven, eight, [chuckles] nine than two or three.
14:27
I think Love is gonna be in play just because I think, I think they feel internally that they need stars.
14:32
Again, we can disagree about their roster, but they think they need a star player.
14:34
And again, Jeremiah Love is the most heavily impacted guy that you can get from a just a you're starting your team from scratch expansion team, Jeremiah Love's the pick for a lot of these teams as well too.
14:44
I still lean, hey, this Cardinal team wants to be successful this year, and Maheua Noah is the biggest solve for them, right? They've got running backs.

11 MINS LATER

25:52
Do you have any thoughts on your conversations that started with these NFL teams from October to November to the Friday before the NFL draft and Jordan Tyson running 20 routes, uh, of where this story arc has gone for him and where he might land, uh, ne- on this Thursday?
2:09
Like, what do you think the Chiefs should strategically kinda try to, try to do to come out with the best result?
2:15
Yeah.
2:15
I mean, I think you guys probably have a better sense of, of kinda like how definitive and short and long-term team needs are, but I, I'll tell you, like, across the board, what I think a lot of teams have gotten to, and, and I believe as well too, is that this... because this draft is lacking, again, top, medium, and bottom-end talent, you just really can't make mistakes, and you've gotta kinda play it safe a little bit and not be like, "Hey, you know what? We're gonna take a chance on this guy." 'Cause some of the years, you might take a chance on a guy in round one or round two, knowing that, "Hey, we'll hit some base hits in round three, round four, and not totally [laughs] mess this up." And I think in this year's draft, like, you don't really have that luxury.
2:46
So I think for all teams, including teams like maybe the Chiefs or the Bengals or, or, you know, the Cowboys, who think they're not gonna be picking that high again in the draft, "Hey, let's take some swings here early on in the draft," and I think I'm curious how teams in those positions of like, "Hey, we're not often up in this early in the draft, so let's be bold in the first and second round," I wonder if that really holds true, or if teams think, "You know what? This is the draft to kinda, like, get outta here, don't make a mistake, and get through it." I think we'll see across the board, man, a lot of linemen early, a lot of DBs early, right? You start five at both those spots, so if you even get a backup in the first two rounds, like, he's still valuable.
3:20
I think we'll see a lot of medical question mark guys and a lot of injury guys, especially in day two, day three of the draft.
3:25
The medical guys week o- or, uh, first round, I think we'll talk about some of those guys, I'm sure.
3:29
Like, those are a little bit different story, but when you got a medical or a character guy in round two, three, four, like, those guys might fall out of the draft in general.

30 MINS LATER

33:21
Like, who do you think will be the first or who do you think are candidates to be the first safety off the board from the East-West Shrine Bowl when you're having conversations with NFL teams?
49:55
What, what's your thought on them? And also, I, I assume a game like this sells itself, but what, what are those conversations like when you're, when you're trying to get a quarterback to, to come show off in Frisco?
50:06
Yeah, I love talking to quarterbacks because they always are really thoughtful about what this event week's gonna look like for them and what matters, right? They ask great questions, and I think for, for Cade Klubnick, it's about reminding NFL teams why he was a first overall pick projected guy coming into the year for [chuckles] some people, or at least a top two-round guy for NFL teams.
50:23
And I'm sure, as you guys well know, this quarterback class is searching for that QB three in this year's class, and I think Cade will lead the Shrine Bowl, having a good argument for it as well, too, because, again, these guys...
50:33
I always tell people, "These guys don't get worse." Situations change, maybe a bad season, but he's not a lesser player because of, you know, a season that happened this year as well.
50:40
I think Cade actually had a pretty tough season as well and played tough, I should say, um, in the way he, he performed throughout the kind of adversity this season.
50:47
But beyond him, Mark Gronowski and, and Haynes King both give me kind of the sense of a little what Brock Purdy offered when he talked to NFL teams, which a lot of NFL teams will tell you, is that Brock was a guy that if he was gonna be your third quarterback, he was gonna get your team ready for a game week a- and be a great guy in that room.
51:03
If he was the backup, he'll help your starter get ready, but if he had to play a couple snaps, he'd be ready.
52:53
But who are a few of the day three players this year that you think could make a, a pretty immediate impact, uh, with where they end up next year?
