What where are we really at in not only in Montana, but in the country when it comes to, you know, the size of the herds and how do we get here?
56:08
Well, right now, from all the research I've done, we're sitting at about a 75-year low.
56:14
Our beef numbers have not been this low since 1951.
56:17
Now, the thing you have to take into fact is we're still producing a lot of beef, even though we have low numbers.
56:22
The amount of pounds produced today versus 1951 is a night and day difference.
56:27
It's an exponential difference in how much bigger the cattle are and how much more efficient the feed programs are.
56:33
So we're still producing a lot of beef.

But I'm curious, imported beef, are you in favor of bringing in lots of imported beef to get the prices down and theoretically get consumption up? Or is that the opposite? Go ahead.
