I think she may be trying to kill me.

This dragon in the shape of a girl my body birthed and gave to this world.

I think she wants my heart to stop by seeing her take off like a shot in the parking lot of Aldi.

Or by hearing her maniacal giggle that tells me she's wiggled herself high enough and over enough and close enough to the counter where we keep the very exciting scissors ideally away from her and now she can run through the house with them.

Or by catching her climbing herself to standing on the seat of the horrendously unused exercise bike that we, her father and I, nearly came to blows over because I knew he wouldn't use it and totally knew she'd climb it and now she has to the top of it and might fall off or jump because I think she's trying to kill me.

This mythical beast I've unleashed on this realm.

And I can imagine it must have felt quite anticlimactic in a way, but also probably good to just have that in that space.
