So when did you, tell us a little bit about the work you do and when you got into it and maybe why you got into it.

Yeah, well, about 15 years ago, So where I was living at the time, Quakers going into prison is not a new thing.

Quakers have always gone into prison, largely because, as you know, the Bible tells us to remember prisoners.

But also the fact is in the early days, it was illegal to be a Quaker and you weren't allowed to meet.

And they had to go through some terrible times.

If they were caught meeting, they would get thrown into prison.

So whole families were put into prison.

So I'm very I feel very stuck.

Mm-hmm.

But also, for all of us across Britain, we are all divorced from our Christian heritage, and I, I suppose I'm trying to get across this idea that people are very interested in family history.

Well, why not also be interested in the, the, what the, in my, my family's Congregationalism, which I didn't really know about until I did the family history, and now that's what, that's where it all came about with Andy Burnham, is asking about his, uh, Catholic faith, and that was the, the video that went viral with nearly a million views now.

So it's the, it's the s- the faith-centered videos that you've done that have, have attracted the most attention.

Exactly.

I was sat in the car park [laughs] in, in Aldi, and I was, I was doing this video on, um, you know, it's really interesting to me that he's Catholic, or at least his background is Catholic, and I, and my argument is that I think that will shape who he is.

I'm trying to study the kind of the spiritual depth, if you like, of the contemplative tradition that Quakerism is.

And one of the reasons why I started talking about Andy Burnham was that he, of course, says that he is a Catholic.

And what I'm really interested in is how our spiritual heritage, our religious heritage, is in the culture, is in our genetics, in fact, and how it informs our politics, our worldview.

It informs our charity work, our employment.

It informs everything.
