Yeah,
2:26
that is true.
2:28
And then I did actually...
2:29
I went to Cosmedicare when you were at Hermiston Gate.
2:33
That's right.
2:33
And I think I went for...
2:36
I think it was with Dan Whittleson I think I had a consultation and then obviously when I heard the price I was like I'd just moved into my first house and at that point in time I was just really bad with money and I almost got to the point where I was so sick of it and so depressed that I just stopped caring about myself in general I stopped caring about what I looked like I stopped caring about trying to fix the problem I put on a lot of weight as well and then I actually developed a skin condition called HS okay so it's hydradenitis superativa well done but essentially it causes sores and boils where there's like a hot sweaty bits of skin it's no nice to live with and I only ever had it under my breasts and I was with dermatology for ages I was on antibiotics for nearly a straight year and then I just ended up at the point where I just had a total mental breakdown went back to the NHS and they said that they would do it if I lost four stone Do you happen to know what your BMI was roughly at that point? I don't know what the actual BMI was.

5 MINS LATER

9:16
Emma, can you tell us a little bit about the lead up to your surgery?
22:19
This at a time when the Supreme Court ruling and subsequent Equality and Human Rights Commission code has led to the effective segregation of trans+ people in most single-sex services.
22:30
So the mission was to create a really beautiful campaign, which we do every year, and get that out to as many people as possible.
22:41
That's Emma Glenn from Publicis Group UK, who was on the team delivering the pro bono advertising space to Trans+ History Week and Queer AF's out of home campaign this year by creative agency Uncharted Studio, drawing on research from the Diversity Standards Collective with trans+ people across the UK.
22:59
Fundamentally running through on the visuals was water and that, um, and the message that we wanted to get through is that change, for example, has never stood still, but also like water, you know, the tran- trans community always find a way.
23:14
So I think what we wanted to do is this was the sort of flow through all of the campaign, that we wanted to bring to light that no matter what, you know, the trans community has always, trans+ community has always been here and always will be, and that like water, they will find a way.
23:30
They fight, they're strong, they're resilient, and they will find a way, and we will get, um, to where we need to be.
23:37
Also, we work with lots of media owners to make sure that that was seen across the country throughout and by as many people as possible.
