Before we talk about the one that's on October 19th, can we talk about the one that happened back in June? What were some of the main takeaways from the event?

Yes, so the first public workshop for the comprehensive plan focused on really gathering feedback from the Community about the future vision of what do we want the village of Homer to be 510 20 years from now.

Some questions about core values and then starting to dig into priorities for the Community and so.
1:14
Really what we heard from folks is that there's a lot of great things that have been happening in the village in terms of the close-knit, family-oriented community that makes up the village, the great historic character, walkability, sense of place.
1:29
There's a lot of investment from folks in creating great quality of life in the community.
1:33
And so in terms of future-looking priorities, there's definitely a desire for thoughtful growth and advancement.
1:40
How can we create housing opportunities for people of all ages and life stages, improving walkability and connectivity, as well as recreation and other types of community investments?

Now, there's another public workshop coming up at the Center for the Arts, October 19th from 6 to 7.30 p.m. What can people expect at this month's workshop? Is there a different focus at this workshop or is it going to be more like a what's in June?
