... as a dermatologist?
4:54
Well, as a dermatologist who sees people with hair loss from too tight of hairstyles on a regular basis, I was a little worried about this one, and a couple things.
5:03
I, I, of course, when I read this article, I went and tried it myself.
5:06
I'm like, "Let me see.
5:06
If I do a couple little braids," I mean, maybe I wasn't doing it the correct way, and I pull back.
5:11
I mean, you really have to pull hard, Tony, to pull-

Yeah

...

Yeah

... physicians, you know, but I think we both also put health first.
45:11
As a pers- in my personal decision, what I would never, ever have something injected into my own breasts for any reason at all.
45:18
I mean, there's, you know, again, we can go into a whole body self-esteem situation, but it's really just long-term health possibilities of, you know, obscuring screening, you know, exams, MRIs, breast mammograms, to me, is never worth what a bra can do.
45:33
I mean, i- in all honesty, and not to take away from what you obviously is probably a big part of your business and your practice, but, and the general population, but I am of the personal, you know, feeling of why would you do something that could long-term affect screening for your health when, I mean, there's so many...
45:50
The bra industry can give you boobs that you don't, you know, that, I mean-
48:10
Yeah
48:10
... it's subtle textural changes.
53:03
Hmm.
53:03
If you aren't a candidate to take oral minocycline, there are some other topical, there are some topical doxycyclines now that you can use, and topical antibiotics you can use.
53:11
And then again, you can go back to sort of the all-natural, um, bacterial-killing things, like apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil, um, you know, isopropyl alcohol or swat alcohol, you know, you cleaning with alcohol.
53:22
But, um, it's not dangerous.
53:23
It does actually tend to go hand-in-hand with being overweight or obesity as well.
53:37
Uh, tell us about your practice here in the Detroit area.
53:40
Yep.
53:40
My practice is called Northwest Dermatology Group.
40:59
What are your thoughts about that?
41:00
I mean, I've done platelet-rich plasma under the eyes and fillers under the eyes.
41:04
I think it works great.
41:04
I actually do.
41:05
I mean, it's, again, stimulating collagen.
41:07
I don't think the platelet-rich fibrin or platelet-rich plasma works as well as an actual hyaluronic acid filler.
41:12
The issue with injecting under the eyes is the bruising is such a turnoff for people to get it done.
45:30
Do you guys
34:26
Do you think, is it a red flag if there, if you're getting Botox in a place that's in a strip mall? Is a strip mall a red flag?
34:35
Kind of.
34:36
Yeah, it is.
34:37
And I, I would say that, you know, you really have to research.
34:40
I'm shocked sometimes when I hear the places people go to get their Botox, their inject- their fillers, anything, any type of procedural or lasers or anything.
34:47
I don't understand if there are so many plastic surgeons and, you know, board certified and board certified dermatologists, why are people going to these places in a strip mall that are, there's no medical guidance at all?

43:23
Yeah, yeah.
43:23
Yeah, Morpheus and Pixel.
6:48
And do you see different results in those with your patients?
6:51
Yeah.
6:51
I mean, the problem with the more like pure tretinoin that it is, the more irritating it can be.
6:57
So what we're finding is that some of the derivatives of tretinoin, the retinaldehyde and the retrinols are a little less irritating.
7:03
But again, those are not quite as potent.
7:06
So you really have to kind of play around.
7:08
And it really depends on the patient's skin type.
