When did you transition during your residency from more traditional to doing your PhD?

There was that moment when I was, I'm trying to remember whether it was my second year or third year, when I chased Robert Judd down a stairwell.

I think that was a big turning point for me.

So in there are journal clubs for our residency training programs, which we do have journal clubs every other week.

So during that time, I started to realize I was asking a whole lot more basic science questions that the rest of the clinical pathologists were like, yep, hold on.

And so that was kind of a light bulb that went off for me.

My enjoyment of seminars, that was a light bulb.

What excites you the most about your research?

Coveted one-letter ticker.

Exactly.

[laughs] Um, the stock is up about 10% right now, highest level since 2022 on some deal news.

NextEra Energy agreed to buy the utility company in an all-stock transaction valued at about $67 billion.

So we are seeing NextEra shares falling.

The combined company will operate under the name NextEra Energy.

I hope I'm saying that right.
