That's a terrible misconception, but what is your experience been with that? And I guess finding balance, just navigating that generally.

I think when you're Israeli, and especially in a more progressive city, I feel like Judaism is like the air you breathe and is all around you.
17:04
And I think it's almost comparable to secular Christians like in America and Canada, that it's almost redundant to practice it because it's just everywhere.
17:15
So that was the environment I grew up in.
17:17
And I think also my parents being anti-Zionist, they had... pretty intense rejection of anything that had any taint of Zionism in it and unfortunately in Israel like Judaism is Zionism and that's what they feed you and that's how they continue the project so when we immigrate to Canada and as I kind of came into my adulthood it was sad especially meeting like North American Jews I went to liberal Zionist Jewish summer camp like a lot of people in the community.
17:48
And I definitely felt a big difference between the way I was raised with Judaism versus North American Jews.
17:56
And there was so much ritual that I was introduced to through summer camp and through those friends that I literally didn't know existed.

And I think that's been important as well.
