Mm-hmm.

Uh, but then when Ernst tried to interrogate him a little bit about, like, what's actually going on here, why would she run away, et cetera, et cetera, uh, I think we failed our roll, so he got more weird and suspicious about us.

Uh, and, and we were, we went on our way, but, uh, Anne Marie's driving the horse, [laughs] and Ernst is sitting, uh, on, we're on the same horse.

So I hope it's a big, big horse that can take both of us.

And, and the last thing that happened is that we saw wolves eating-

... like this.

Ernst, all right.

Um, Anne Marie recognize a, a liar when she sees one, but she also recognize someone's pride and embarrassment.

And I think the first thing he says is as he spots Anne-Marie, he just tosses a little, howdy ma'am, can you find your way to assisting me?

And so she walks on over, ducks her head as she's following this guy, trying to blend in as a very experienced cow girl, and she follows him.

I don't know what she wants to be called.

Calamity Jane.

Calamity Jane, all these people.

Her mother abandoned her almost immediately.

And so she's been alone.

She, you know, someone started talking to her about the West and like where she herself could always like, you know, talking basically like the early days of like in America, if you just pull yourself up with your bootstraps, you can make it, you know, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.

But not obviously that's New York, but she couldn't make it in New York.
