Mm

... you wanna lose fat, not muscle, and there's this real risk of muscle and bone loss, which is, of course, especially relevant for people with arthritis, which I know your community will be interested in.
31:25
And so aiming for, um, enough protein in your diet, doing regular weight-bearing exercise, getting enough calcium, getting enough vitamin D, these are all non-negotiables.
31:34
And when your appetite is so suppressed, and you go from eating 2,000 or maybe even 3,000 calories a day before going onto this, to suddenly you can barely stomach 800 calories or 1,000 calories, which is very, very low, or, you know, somewhere in the middle, you need to make sure that the calories you are taking in are full of nutrition.
31:55
Otherwise, how can you possibly hit all those vitamin and mineral targets, your... well, your micronutrients and also your macronutrients? How can you get your omega-3 for the healthy fats? And how can you get that protein that we need to protect our muscles? So being extra careful actually with, with what you are eating and making sure it's delivering a really good amount of nutrition is super, super important.

Just like if you have, um, you know, very high cholesterol and you're taking a, a blood thinner, if you stop taking it, you're no longer gonna be getting the effects that that medication was, was giving you.
