Um, well, let me first sort of, um, talk about what living your poetry means for me.

I mean, I, I felt like I could go in so many different directions with it, but the first thing that came to my mind was we can't have one without the other.

So we can't...

If we're not living, then we, we don't have something to write about.

Um, and if sometimes I get into this, um, pressure where I'm writing and I'm ma- I'm, I'm so focused on, on the process of writing that I forget to, to live, and I forget to get up and go outside and, and look just what's outside in my garden or go to the s- grocery store and, um, you know, notice who's there and what they're doing and what they're wearing and a pleasant conversation, and those are all, all things that we have to write about.
