For those that might not be talent or necessarily in the business, how does the casting process differ when you're looking for principal cast versus just kind of those background roles?

Well, it's two totally different things, you know, and I'm doing a major film, as many of my films and TV have been.

They're unions, so I'm looking for union actors, or I'm looking for a really great actor who's looking to dying to join the union, because a lot of actors don't understand if I hire a non-union actor in a union production, we can get a fine.

We don't have that problem with extras.

We can use non-union extras as background.
