Mm-hmm.
2:12
So that leads to hypermobility is the most obvious symptom.
2:17
So, um, and joints that pop out.
2:20
It has other symptoms that related to organs, but ultimately, um, it is not common or necessarily recommended [laughs] to pursue, uh, distance running with this, uh, condition.
2:33
And yet I'm well aware that it is an extreme privilege that I'm able to do so, and a lot of people with this condition can't.
2:43
I know one person my age with a diagnosis, and she uses mobility aids, um, a walker and, um, neck brace, and that sort of thing.
2:51
So it makes things more challenging, um, but it's also a big reason that I'm talking about it, because it's very much under- misunderstood, uh, little known compared to the impact, and particularly women have a hard time getting answers when it comes to this condition.

Wow
14:06
Do you prefer running not on a loop, like when you just go one direction and it's always fresh and new? Or do you just get the runner's high no matter what?
14:16
You know, I don't get the classic runner's high.
14:18
People are always surprised to hear that.
14:20
Yeah.
14:22
I hear people describe it and I'm like, I don't think that's something that happens to me.
14:25
But I will say I tend to get a bit of a refresh, like this quasi lobotomy after the fact.
14:31
No, it can definitely... disrupt whatever pattern I'm in.
18:45
so many memorable moments.
