Yeah, so the most relevant individual difference variable is what's called intolerance to uncertainty.

And that's something that we all vary widely on.

So how tolerant are we of sitting with uncertainty versus not? And in general, people who are higher in intolerance of uncertainty, they have more tolerance.

maladaptive psychopathologies.

So it's highly, probably unsurprising.

It's very highly correlated with anxiety and also with personality traits like neuroticism.

and so when we look at this uh appraisal of uncertainty or even appraisal of controllability um does that also change how we see the past how we see the future uh you know that that that anticipation or or even how we view the past
