Would you say that made it more difficult or easier for all of you to find the sort of moments that were human for each of these people?

Well, I think the human part of it is always what you're most interested in as an actor.

You know, when you're just showing up on the day, you're just thinking about how is this person a person? I worked a little bit with the movement coach, Julia Crockett, to make sure that she had a way of moving and a way of being that felt real and that didn't, you know, we took into account the written records, but I wanted her to be an amalgamation of most primarily what was on the page.

and then you have your imagination about it, and then also there's a little bit of a creation, and hopefully all three of those things meet to find a character that's interesting.

But yeah, the human part of it is I think also what the show and the franchise is an exercise in.

The lore and the mythology of these people are so famous, but what's the human component of it?

I

don't know.

Yes.

Ella Baley is sharing her new role playing Lizzie Borden in the return of the hit series Monster.

Then later we're gonna meet a climbing champion who overcame incredible odds and a terrifying fall to reach the peak of her sport, and she says that strength is her fear.

We'll be right back.

What made you wanna be the first?

Oh my gosh, I was so excited.

I mean, I couldn't believe the opportunity.

I had been a fan of the franchise before, and I knew that Ryan and Ian Brennan, our writer, were interested in exploring female rage and repression, so I just felt really excited to take on the part.
