It's about keeping girls safe.

We have taught our daughter, and I know lots of parents do, they teach your girls that if something doesn't feel right, you get out of that situation.

Like, you know, right? We teach them to be aware, to discern what is right and wrong, but yet now we're inviting this into their locker rooms where at some point we're going to desensitize our girls to not trust that gut instinct and to me that it's so important that we continue to to teach them trust that gut instinct don't just push that away but if we're going to continue like any man can come in and i mean they don't have to dress as a girl i mean we're telling our girls to just push those instincts aside and just deal with it and to me that's just not right as a parent

For Wilson, passing this initiative is a way for adults to show up for students under 18 who are not old enough to vote yet.

It would just be really incredibly sad if girls stopped competing and get pushed out from the sports that they love, the things that they love.

Again, sports make incredible women down the road, right? They become leaders, they become CEOs, they become incredible collegiate athletes or further.

This helps them to become incredible mothers and wives.

Sports are incredibly important.
