So what actually makes FINRA attractive or not attractive as a model here? What does it offer that the other governance proposals that are on the board don't have right now?
10:00
Th-this model has been used to, to, to, to my understanding for other cases when it was complex and legislations were immature and the, you know, the Congress couldn't act in, in the right time to address that.
10:17
So given that this is, uh, all of the things about AI governance, as Kat and Owen talk about this, there is a lot of new and complex things to handle that, uh, that none of the other models or regime can, can address this.
10:32
Seems like that these things that, uh, handling it, you know, bringing industry so they can act faster than any other, you know, non-stan- non-industry standard body or government body to act on that, but having a government oversight role so it's not just completely, uh, industry.
10:51
And the fact that it has been tried for other complex technical topics, so it became at, uh, you know, kind of something that you, uh, look at.
11:02
So it brings some sort of the flexibility.
11:05
Some of those flexibilities are good, some of those flexibilities still apply, but I think everybody also agrees that this is not the perfect or the only model, and there is still a lot of the questions and a lot of the adjustment needed to make it work for AI.

Can you kind of lay that out for us a little bit?
3:20
How does something [laughs] like that land with the technical community, and where do they see their responsibility?
3:25
I think the response from the tech community, there has been a lot of silence, so we, we can talk about this.
3:30
But just Nicol, I'm not Catholic, but I think these are important conversations and important documents for all of us to look at as they set sort of a, a North Star.
3:40
The Pope Leo anchors the AI encyclica into two images from scripture and probably two images in different way.
3:49
One is Tower of Babel that you mentioned, and as, as everybody else knows, in Genesis, humanity settles on a field, on a plain, and then wants to build a city and a tower, a tower so tall that reaches heaven, so secure power.
4:05
In, uh, Leo's reading, perpetuate a name.
4:08
And I think it is that ambitious and in, uh, the word of the Pope, a single language, a single technology, a single direction that make it a Babel for him.

But I'm curious from your perspective, how do you code that kind of moral imperative? How do you build that into these systems?
