Is that the first port of call for teachers if they're wondering how do we bring play into the classrooms, why we should bring play? Is that where we should be looking?
5:01
Look, we're delighted that you mentioned our paper, Gillian, because we, any opportunity at all that we can talk about the paper, we like to talk about the paper.
5:08
So yes, the answer to your question, the short answer is yes.
5:12
And there's a myriad of reasons why.
5:14
So that paper, in that paper, we were commissioned, the background to it is we were commissioned by the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment to write a paper on play.
5:23
And really the purpose of the paper was to support teachers.
5:27
We know now, we know that there is redeveloped primary curriculum framework for primary and special schools and of course teachers have a lot to contend with and play is very prominent and we're delighted that play is very prominent but of course also there is a lot of questions that teachers have in relation to play and in relation to how play can be integrated in the curriculums.

Hopefully the paper might be a springboard for teachers to kind of engage with that and hopefully even engage in discussions amongst themselves around, you know, what that playfulness looks like in practice.
