Ed, do you want to talk to us a little bit about how you brought that theme into the programme and what you've been doing behind the scenes to bring the programme together?

Ed KnowlesGUEST
yeah sure so yeah i mean my job is to to bring imogen's uh orders to life really or vision to life um so no i i think it's it's been it's been really good actually as a congress chair it's been really thought-provoking as well we have thought carefully about the topics that we've included lots of the questions are quite or the lecture titles are quite sort of discursive as well and trying to get away from sort of didactic cpd and not lots more sort of discussion and thoughtful questioning really um we have for the first time got um i think we've got two clinical behavior streams in now um which is is great you know and that's that's sort of approach to clinical behaviour, I think, can make a huge difference to everyone's welfare, horse, client, vet, handler, everyone.

Ed KnowlesGUEST
And then also just in some of the speaker comms as well, we have asked all of the speakers to think about welfare.

Ed KnowlesGUEST
And the reason we've asked all the speakers really is, as Imogen says, I think that welfare is something that motivates all of us.

Ed KnowlesGUEST
Frankly, whether you're sitting in a lab doing some pipetting for your PhD or whether you're out in the field treating cases, the thing that actually drives us all, I think, is improving the welfare of the horses under our care.

There's something for everyone here and you don't have to come and... just do the cpd you don't have to just come and do the social you know you can pick and choose and cherry pick your favorite bits and you know there's there there is a lot and and i was going to ask you quickly because they we haven't mentioned the scientific abstract you know there's a whole stream isn't there of people able to present bits that they might have been doing in the background that no one's seen you know whether it's published whatever talk to us about that because there's a there is a stage isn't there for for people who haven't maybe got all the limelight around them that enables them to get some recognition
