yeah okay cool we'll get into the football then so i want to start with the world cup because i know you're us-based as well so like i just want to get your overall take on how the world cup was and you can take that in any direction you wish and you know especially since you're there locally in the us like how how was that

world cup for you I mean, honestly, reflecting back, I was pretty disappointed.

I mean, they're separating out the football from their overall tournament.

I mean, the football, obviously, England did.

They were so close.

And I'm definitely a fair-weather England fan in that I get much more excited when tournaments come around than just for qualifying or anything like that.

So I can't pretend to be the biggest England fan at all.

So that's why I was... basically you know because like i said if i mentioned something i mentioned 10 minutes ago on this pod i'm genuine genuinely worried about the direction of travel with football in general the whole game so i'm almost like i think think there's going to be some reckoning coming coming at some point anyway so in the meantime i'd rather just buy harry kane buy declan rice and win some trophies that's kind of i totally understand
