So what did you learn away from Nebraska that you needed in order to build the creative life you wanted?

I would say that community was actually one of the biggest things that I learned out there.

When I moved out to Hollywood it was…I'm a small town Nebraska boy just moving out there and I didn't know what I was doing at all and I was one person in millions just trying to figure it out and I was auditioning and doing college short films and stuff like that but I was just one person going around and then I took an improv class at the upper citizens brigade and I found this community of people who got together and they had fun and they cared about each other and they partied together and they weren't just A lot of LA was a lot of people just doing their own things and looking out for each other.

But the improv community was very close and they were very good friends.

And it felt so nice to have a group of people that you knew cared about you and wanted to do stuff with you and vice versa.
