I think what surprised me to find out, right, was that I think because Singapore, as a small sovereign country, we stand for that a lot, like, even with, like, our comments on recent conflicts, but then we have a one China policy, yet we are compared a lot with Hong Kong and all that, right? So then I'm also very confused [laughs] as to, like, do you see that China is intending to take back stronger control over both Hong Kong as well as Taiwan? And what's stopping them right now?

The Hong Kong one, okay, easy to answer because, uh, China already has control of, uh, Hong Kong.

Um, handover 1997, and then they recently passed a series of, uh, national security laws.

Basically, their legislative council has no opposition for all purposes and intents.

You have to be a, a patriot to be able to run for election, so basically there's no dissent in their parliament.

And, um, they passed national security laws and so on and so forth.

So I think China is quite comfortable with where Hong Kong is right now.

Do you think Singapore comes off weak?
