Drew, can you tell me a little bit about the inspiration behind the show?

Yeah, so I grew up gay in Fargo, North Dakota, which was an absolute dream come true.

If your listeners have ever visited North Dakota, I'm sure they find it absolutely gorgeous.

And yeah, so I grew up gay there and I've always been obsessed with comic books and superheroes.

Growing up, I often found myself kind of escaping into fantasy worlds because that's where I felt super safe.

And so the show started out as an hour of stand-up.

I'm a stand-up comedian.

Can you tell me about what your expectations are like reaching Edinburgh this August and how you're going to keep yourself going throughout the whole month whilst performing your show?

As I mentioned, you're about to come to the fringe as well.

So yeah, so my name again is Drew Lausch.

I am originally from Fargo, North Dakota, which for any, you know, Scottish or British listeners, that's a place you can sort of skip if you're coming to the United States.

But like, how did you sort of start getting into stand up and slowly build a following and things? How did that come about?
