and start to think okay well maybe there's some really high leverage things we can be doing up here that actually yeah like you said we don't need a solution to that problem anymore because it's no longer a problem

Drew KnowlesGUEST
yeah i mean we both have come from sort of different paths and in my early years of my training and from sort of early 20s because i came from an exercise physiology background and was personal trainer for a while my own business and then got into the personal development personal growth side of things and worked for this company for about it was like a sort of different version of Tony Robbins type stuff that's the easiest way people would understand it and it was 70 80 90 hours a week and I know people who've worked at Tony Robbins the same thing I don't know if it's now with him but they had to pay to train was often how it was as well but getting amazing training coaching thousands of people you know right into it but I was lucky with my health and fitness background because I managed to sort of survive that environment and But, you know, we had to like peel back the onion layers every single day, like to the point where sometimes you felt like you were making up stories about what happened with your mum when you were five, you know, that some incident that happened because you're just trying to survive this coach or this trainer pressing you for the next thing because you need to get up in front of all these people and transform their lives so you can't have any shit.

Drew KnowlesGUEST
of your own that you're going on, right? Which was amazing to do that level of work because there's not a lot that triggers me these days.

Drew KnowlesGUEST
And sometimes with my clients, the ones who are, say, dealing with burnout because stress was an area like Simon I focused on.

Drew KnowlesGUEST
If you're at like burnout or pre-burnout and your frontal cortex is totally toast, you can't think, strategize, plan, even deal with concepts, psychological things.

Drew KnowlesGUEST
And yet even people like myself in the helping profession back in those days, either I'd be getting coached, I'd be trying to coach people and how they're meant to think about oh, what's going on? And they're trying to figure out complex things and what happened in my past.

Whereas now you look at, yeah, but your brain is just being driven mad from the second you wake up and that blue light smacks you in the face whilst you're still in bed.
